For the Latest .........

Welcome to the Rugeley Eastern Bypass website.  This website has been designed to provide you with up-to-date information on Staffordshire County Council’s £22m Rugeley Eastern Bypass project.

The site includes information on the history of the project and explains the need for the bypass as well as highlighting the benefits that it will bring to Rugeley and the surrounding areas.  There is also information on environmental issues, traffic information and a brief overview of the team who are delivering this prestigious project.

For the latest information on progress and details of the work currently being undertaken, please visit the ‘Current Status’ page.

We hope you find this website interesting and informative.  Should you have any specific questions or queries in relation to the Rugeley Eastern Bypass project, please contact Michael Smith at the site office on 01889 256104.

Public Responses

We have been receiving a number of queries regarding the map and specifically whereabouts the Bypass will eventually emerge onto the A51 Wolseley Road.

We are more than happy to send out colour copies of the full length of the Bypass to anyone who requests one.  A new island is currently being constructed on the A51 Wolseley Road 250 metres past Bower Lane as you are leaving the town, halfway between Bower Lane and the Sewerage Works.

If you wish to receive a copy of the map please contact us or if you need any further information you can email Kelly Mullane at kelly.mullane@staffordshire.gov.uk or call Theresa Ensor at our site offices on 01889 256101, who will be happy to help.
